Prevent Issues Caused by Vibration

Vessel Site Glass Relocation: A solid mounted site glass to a vessel can lead to problems. If you have excess vibration in a unit and the site glass is mounted using pipe nipples and the proper valving, the weight of this assembly will strain the pipe nipples and sometimes break causing serious problems. We build custom heavy pipe clamps to secure the site glass and move it off the vessel mounting it remotely. Along with this, there will be a flex hose mounted from the site glass to the vessel.
Upgraded pipe clamps: In many cases, a standard pipe clamp securing piping inside of a compressor building isn’t adequate and often leads to failure and the clamp breaking. We build and install the proper style pipe clamp to avoid these failures.
Compressor supports: In some cases, vibration can be caused starting at the compressor itself. We build proper distance pieces and compressor cylinder supports to help take the strain off the compressor frame and prevent the vibration from continuing down through the suction and discharge piping. We also will build and install the proper compressor discharge bottle supports and wedge system to ensure the weight from all these components is sufficiently supported.
Piling Support and Shimming: Vibration to units can start from the pilings themselves and move throughout the building. We can help better secure the pilings by bracing them together to reduce the movement. Often vibration can start from poor or inadequate shims between the pilings and the building frame, we can shim and secure these buildings properly to reduce movement and vibration issues.
